JOB OPENING: DRIVER-INTERPRETER

General Functions of the Position:

  • Transport MWO Personnel to and from the destination
  • Research and plan for traffic, construction, and weather delays
  • Ensure that the vehicle is always fueled and ready for use
  • Prepare travel ticket and other documentary requirements
  • Keep mileage records and repair records up-to-date
  • Arrange for vehicle repairs as needed
  • Provide administrative support work, as needed.

Qualifications

  • At least a high school graduate
  • With Japan Driver’s License
  • Japanese or Filipino national; between 26 years old and above;
  • Physically- and mentally-fit to work;
  • Good working knowledge in the Japan road and traffic regulations;
  • Familiar with the Tokyo area;
  • FOR FILIPINO NATIONALS: Above-average written and verbal communication skills in Japanese
  • FOR JAPANESE NATIONALS: Average written and verbal communication skills in English

Note: Because the Embassy does not sponsor visas for local employment, applicants must have legal status in Japan.
