  1. Submit complete documentary requirements to Migrant Workers Office (MWO) (formerly POLO) Tokyo through post mail:

  2. Attach a return letter pack (Japan Post)

  3. Register in the DMW E-Registration or DMW Online Services Portal

CHECKLIST OF REQUIREMENTS
  1. Copy of Certificate of Eligibility (COE) of the worker issued by the Japan Immigration Office, Ministry of Justice
  2. Original Employment Contract, with original signatures of both Employer and the Worker (all pages) complying with Department of Migrant Workers (DMW) minimum standard provisions. Scanned/Electronic signatures are not accepted
  3. Copy of the Letter of Guarantee submitted to the Japan Immigration Bureau, Ministry of Justice
  4. Copy of the Letter of Justification submitted to the Japan Immigration Bureau, Ministry of Justice
  5. Clear copy of the Worker’s passport
  6. Clear copy of the Employer’s passport
  7. Original Certificate of Official Designation issued by the proper Embassy Official
  8. Clear copy of the Employer’s Gaimusho ID
  9. Authorization letter for Embassy staff authorized by the Diplomat to process application/verification at MWO Tokyo. Diplomats are not required to submit/process at the office personally. Diplomats may authorize other Embassy staff to process on their behalf. MWO Tokyo does not recognize third-party entities (brokers, immigration lawyers, other representatives, etc.)
